Our Aims

The Aims of the Citizens Advice Bureaux Service are:

To ensure that individuals do not suffer through lack of knowledge of their rights and responsibilities or of the services available to them, or through an inability to express their needs effectively.

And equally:

To exercise a responsible influence on the development of social policies and services, both locally and nationallly.

The CAB service is independent and provides free, confidential and impartial advice to everybody regardless of race, gender, disability or sexuality

KCABs case example:

Young woman who is self employed and works in London. She has incurred significant debts on congestion charges and parking fines, but does not see why she should pay them as she feels the system is unfair and discriminates against people like her who work in London, making it very hard for her business to be profitable.
