A team from Kingston CAB are going to take part in the London Legal Walk on the 21st May. This is arranged by the London Legal Support Trust to raise money for agencies who provide free legal advice. Any money our team raise will be paid to Kingston CAB so please consider sponsoring our team. It would be great if you could mention this to friends or family who may consider sponsoring the KCAB team too. After two failed attempts due to bad weather, it was third time lucky for our Manager of Central Services, Rachel Verney, who carried out her skydive on 1st of April.
She thoroughly enjoyed it, despite forgetting her training and fears she may be hooked!

Thank you to everyone who so generously supported Rachel and the Kingston Citizens Advice Bureau to raise money for Kingston CAB to help improve access to advice for people who live and work in Kingston.

Here is the link to the online giving page which is still open.

We are currently working out a project to help us understand what impact our activities and services have on the lives of the people who come into contact with KCABS.

We are doing this, so that we can fully understand what it means to people to have a CAB in their community and to help us ensure we continue to make a difference to people’s lives in the future.

Below is a link to a short questionnaire and we would be grateful if you could take a few minutes to complete and submit this survey. Please be assured all information given by you in this survey will remain anonymous.

Many thanks in advance for taking the time to contribute to this project.

Volunteering with a CAB is a great way to pick up skills, make friends and feel part of an enthusiastic team. Last year the Citizens Advice service helped 2.1 million people with 7.1 million problems. But it’s not just worthwhile, volunteering can also be fantastic fun and hugely rewarding.

We currently need Advice Support Workers to help run our busy reception, give assisted information and staff our ongoing client line. If you are interested in joining us at KCABS please read the following information on the application process and the commitment we require.

We look forward to hearing from you!
