Separated woman with 2 small children. She is a student, hoping to improve her work prospects by getting further qualifications. She has multiple credit card debts which she was planning to pay off with her student loan. She rents her home and the housing benefit does not pay the full rental. She did not realise that it would be so difficult to budget when studying. We have been helping her to draw up a financial statement and budget and to apply for additional housing benefit, but it is difficult to see how she will be able to afford to continue studying in her current situation.
