How to get help

Contact us with new enquiries on our assessment line

020 3166 0953*

┬áMonday to Friday : 10am – 1pm

The telephone assessor will take you through an initial assessment to determine the best way in which we can help you.

This might be through:

  • Providing you with information such as factsheets or leaflets
  • Directing or transferring you to another service
  • Referring you to an adviser if your enquiry is complex
  • Or referring you to a specialist service either here at the bureau or with a partner agency

There is a high demand for our service and we receive most of our calls at the beginning of each session between 10 and 11 am.

Please see our Information section for details of how to access information and advice on the internet and also for details of other national and local services who may be able to help you.

This timeline will show you when changes to Benefits will affect Kingston residents. If you are worried about how this may impact on you, here is some useful information.

You may also find the Personal Independence Payment tool useful to check your entitlement.
